Verizon Voip calls

I would like to make some phone calls that do NOT appear on my Verizon phone bill. I have a DINC and want to call a cell phone. Both ends are in the US. I don't mind paying a service such as Skype.

Is there a way to make this happen?

Thanks in advance.

This is the shadiest sounding scenario you are looking for an answer for.... either you are cheating, or doing something illegal.

I assure you I am not doing anything illegal but rcrott1 you are not too far off base.

From what I understand, Google Voice will show up on my phone bill. Does anyone know for sure or have any other ideas.

Thanks

it shows up with a local number, for example.... for me it shows up as calling a 313 number.

use Google voice + sipgate + 3CXphone app.

Calls can be made over 3G or wifi and wont reflect on your minutes.

P.S. I hope your wife finds out.

shawn,

thanks for the info. I will do that and make a few test calls.

How do you know I have a wife? At any rate if you knew my situation, you would understand what is going on.

oh leave the guy alone - for all you know his wife/gf/bf whatever is boning an Iphone user....

Wahaha! Full points for that! ^^

love it.

Yes, as crazy as it sounds to some, there can be reasons for wanting to encrypt your email/encrypt your chat messages/not speak on an un-secure line/not be tracked in whatever you choose to do that are not evil.

Sometimes I am amazed that we all take it for granted that everyone (or at least "officials", whatever makes them so perfect) SHOULD be able to read/listen/count/record/monitor everything we do.

"Why would you want to encrypt your hard drive? You have kiddie porn on there? Only terrorists need to protect their privacy!"

Bah!
