Root [Verizon] Want 4.3 on Carbon 1.8.

In order for you to take the 4.3 update, you'll have to unroot I believe. :hmmmm:
And if you do that, I'm not sure there is a root procedure as 4.3 brings the Knox bootloader issue.
Personally, I would look for a rom that has the 4.3 goodies in it but if you want 4.3 whilst running Carbon 1.8, it's not possible.
 
I don't think he'll get that Rukbat. I think CarbonRom has a setting in it that disables the check for updates, or something like that.
I've been running Carbon for a long time and have never received an update notification.

Would I be correct in my statement in my last post that he would have issues rooting after unrooting/updating?

Yes. As long as the developers for the rom you want make updates for it, you can get the updates. You'll just have to go download the update and flash it. Some updates can be dirty-flashed, while others require a full wipe.

I haven't been doing much in terms of latest Android advances with our devices, however, I just had to chime in here!

I am currently running 4.3 CarbonRom v1.8. (Couldn't get a screenshot to upload! I'll try later)

Go to THIS CarbonRom site. Scroll down a bit and start reading the features this ROM has. Very first thing listed: "Android 4.3".

I found it all a bit confusing but finally landed on one from 8-24-2013 that is pretty darn stable...if I could only figure out why the person on the other side of my calls has a difficult time hearing until I put them on speaker. :)
