version of android for old people?

Mrz00m

Hello, My aunt bought a LG ks360 because it's pretty. 3 months later she cant use it, all she wanted was a phone with pretty pictures that is easy to use.
(ks360 isn't in the forum list, although its stated online as an android phone)

Is there any kind of operating system i can put on the phone so that it is easy for an old person to use? it doesnt need to have anything else than calls and emails, and preferably large letters.

Is the KS360 even an android phone? how to i tell? can you change versions of androids? are there slightly simpler versions?

Thanks!!! my aunt:p:eek::(

Welcome to Android Forums Mrz00m! Sorry but I'm not familiar with that device. Perhaps someone else will chime in that does know your device.

KS360 is not an android phone, sorry. Once you got an android phone, you can change the default launcher to turn it into something more usable even for older people. I can recommend you BIG Launcher (www.biglauncher.com), which is optimized for elderly and people with vision problems.

..an interface or even whole home screen orientated to older people?

The brightness control takes care of that for me. ;)

Just kidding. I know what you mean. And as it is, there are a few apps and widgets out there which address access issues for those with eyesight, hearing, mobility and other issues (some come stock on Android devices) in the "Accessibility" section of the settings menu.

And then there are all those Elvis and Sophia Loren wallpapers. :D
