Root Very poor call quality

Hey, I have been experiencing very poor call quality on my lg spectrum. The person on the other line can't make out anything that I am saying, but I hear them fine. I thought it was a problem with my mic, but when I use Google voice search or use voice to write text messages it transcribes every word that i say perfectly. My spectrum has been rooted for some time now, is there any updates I could try that might help my call quality, thanks.

What rom are you running? There have been similar issues reported on gb based roms. Something to do with the background noise cancellation of the mic

I remember the days when people were constantly complaing about this, but I haven't seen this issue brought up in sometime.

That's probably your problem there. That is a rather outdated JB rom. You should probably upgrade to AOKP42. It's way smoother also.

*Update* You guys are awesome, that did the trick updating to aokp 4.2 worked now I don't sound charlie browns teacher on the phone. THANKS!!!
