Viber app install issues

Hi,

I keep trying to install Viber on my mum's Galaxy Ace with no success. It was installed before going back to the shop when the phone stopped switching on. Since coming back (with an update to the OS? - second hand info from my mum bout this so a bit vague) Viber will not install.

When trying to install it comes back with various errors:

- Couldn't install on USB or SD card
- some kind of problem with packet data (can't remember the wording on that one).

Here is the OS info

Android Version 2.3.6
Base band version S5830iXXLK1
Kernel version 2.6.35.7 dpi@DELL #1

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Almo.
With the "Couldn't install on USB or SD card" I had that with my Galaxy Ace2. I got round this by unmounting then mounting the SD card (Settings->Storage->Unmount SD card.
After it has been unmounted, take out the card, give it a quick (clean) wipe then reinsert it.
This might sort out your problem.
As for packet data problems, sounds like you may have your network provider details incorrect. Check the following:
Settings->More Settings->Mobile Networks->mobile data (selected)
Settings->More Settings->Mobile Networks->Access point names->(your NW provider here)
If there are any wrong details then the best bet it to contact your network provider and they will be able to sort this over the phone.
Also go to Settings->Data Usage and look for and select "Media", and check that 'Restrict background data' is is not selected. It it is, you will not be able to download or update apps over the networks internet.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Gerbyte, I've tried your suggestions now without success.

Everything seems ok with the mobile network. I've just tried the install again and got the error:

"Package file has a bad manifest"

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
