Viber User Photos

Hi,

In my "User photos" folder there are some pics of people that are not in my contact list (there are not old pictures of my contacts either), nor in any of group conversations. Why? And who can see my pic then?

This might be a long shot, but maybe they are "stock" pics like the one that comes with a new wallet or picture frame. They could just be "samples" included for whatever reason and aren't even "real" people at all!

Hi!

They are real, because some of those people I know and that's why I know that I don't have them in my contact list.

I've also tried deleting those photos but just new pics appeared.

That is downright weird, so I did a search, and someone in June had the same problem on "yahoo answers" and here is the answer straight from Viber themselves, hope it helps

"1. If a contact that is saved in your device's contact list has Viber or has had Viber at some time in the past, their Viber user photo will be saved to your device. This happens even if you have never communicated with this contact via Viber.
2. If you are part of a group conversation with users that are not saved in your contact list, their photos will also be saved to your device.
3. If any of the contacts mentioned above changes their Viber user photo, it will be saved to your device, even if they change the photo back.

For all of the reasons above, it is normal to see many photos in your Viber files, even if you do not recognize the photos or the people in them.

If you are concerned that none of the above apply to the photos you are seeing, please delete the photos in question (or even all of the photos in the file) and monitor the file to see if they reappear. If they *do* reappear, you should check the groups you are active in to see if this is a user that is not saved in your device contact list. If they do not reappear, it is likely that they are old user photos."

Hi!

Thank you for your effort, but none of those cases doesn't fit into my problem.

I tried deleting and see what would happen but like I said earlier new pics of same people appeared. :s:

If so, you ever consider trying Line???? Works the same as Viber if you ask me!

Yes, I've tried everything described in that last part, but that's not it.

Sorry I couldn't do more bruh, good luck with Line, I think you'll like it. It's every bit as efficient as Viber for sure!

Thanks for the compliment, there are a lot of very helpful people on this forum, it's a great place to be. And just for the record, I still use Viber myself and love it, lol.:D
