Help Vibration function not working?

I recently changed the back cover from the stock black to a new "red" one, and after doing the switch the vibration/haptic feedback on the phone no longer works.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Since its going to be a hardware issue and not on the software side, I'd suggest taking a look at ifixits teardown guide:

They have one for the back cover, and maybe you'll be able to determine where it went wrong


Edit: actually, I just looked at the guide, and its not as in depth as I thought it would be The Teardown guide may be more helpful
