Help Video and audio playing at half speed

Hi all,
Device is Galaxy i3900. It is rooted. My problem is that streamed video and audio is being played slowww..
I have tried several roms and finally flashed back to stock, to no avail. Youtube is unwatchable, music sucks.
Tried using different browsers(not chrome), but the problem persists.

Anyone else encountered this problem? Hardware?

Have they all been LP based roms? If so try disabling NuPlayer in Developer Options.

Currently Android vers 4.3, Build Omega v61 UBUGNL1. Doesn't appear to be any option to disable NuPlayer.

I am wondering if this could be a codec problem. I don't use it but MXPlayer app comes with a load of codecs. Could you give it a go and see if it changes anything?

Tried MXPlayer codecs. same same. Convinced I have a (slightly) faulty motherboard. FUBAR. Who needs youtube anyway. Thanks for the replies.
