Help Video audio not working

I have a 2 week old Nexus 5x and I've just discovered that video audio does not work correctly.

When ever I play a video only the first few seconds of audio is played, and after that it's as if the video is on silent.

I have tried Facebook, YouTube and IMDB for streaming video, but the problem also exists with videos I record on the phone and then play back.

If I take a video recorded on my phone and play it on another device the audio is fine.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and crucially is there any kind of fix for it?

I should add that today I've discovered its not just video audio that I an issue, but rather all audio.

When listening to music a song will seemingly stop, but looking at my phone I can see that it is in fact still playing. This happens when listening on headphones or the device itself.

Did you purchase Nexus Protect? You should probably get it replaced. Maybe they will swap it for free
