i am trying to import some videos i took on the droid eris onto windows movie maker but it said it didnt support the codec the videos used or something like that... what do i do?
The Eris encodes them to .3gp (Mpeg4/AMR). Windows Media Player doesn't understand this format. So you need to convert them to a format it does understand.
I haven't done it though, so I have no clue on what program you should use that works. HTC phones use the horrible AMR format which is very finicky on what it works on.
I use iSkysoft video converter to create an AVI file from the eris format. easy and fast. Your windows media program should be able to swallow the AVI files just fine. If not try other formats as there are plenty that iSkysoft can convert to.
