Video file problems

Vanquished

I have my sky diving video I wanted to put on my device but am having trouble doing so. If I put the DVD into the drive, the video will start playing and go through the whole thing, but when I copy it to my computer and try to play it with a different program or try to edit it, it only lets me see the first 20 seconds of it (and says that's all there is).

The file, while on the disk and on the PC, says it is about 215mb and says it is only 20 seconds long. It is a VOB file...Why does it say it is only 20 seconds and why does it only play/convert that much unless intially put into the DVD drive?

You need to rip it, not copy individual vob files. You can use DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink to rip, then Handbrake to convert to h264 for your phone.
