Isn't mp4 just a "wrapper" type? I think you could stick an xvid format movie in an .mp4 wrapper and it won't work.

The video format you want on your incredible is H.264, inside an .mp4 wrapper.

mp4 is a container and a codec. H.264 is a version of mp4 codec. The OP was asking for for a format, so that's why I said mp4. Yes, you're right. You can put other formats in an mp4 container, but most converter software will convert to mp4 format using h.264 codec for compression.
