video help, battery died while recording

so i was recording a video when my battery died. when i plugged my droid in and checked the file, the file is there, but it will not open, is there anyway or recovering the recording or is it a lost cause? i would appreciate any help at all as its a pretty important vid and i was hoping the battery would hold out a little longer before it died and now i cant see the video at all

Have you tried dragging the file off of your phone, to your computer? The computer maybe able to do something with a partial file.

Move to your computer and try to open using VLC player. VLC can repair partial files.
