Help Video missing images? small file size?

I use an old phone as a security camera to watch over me while I sleep and today I realized it was only audio.
the phone I use is an old BLU R1 never had a problem with the camera until now.

the vid is 4+ hours long and only 261mb normally it's multiple gigs

anyone might know what's up?

Maybe the camera has failed, or there's a glitch with the app? Have you tried restarting, clearing cache, resetting it etc?

If you go into that phone's Settings >> Storage menu, how much free space is left in the internal storage? Perhaps the recording just stopped once enough open storage space was starting to run out.

I haven't tried anything with the app yet and there was about 4 gigs of storage left. I'll try resetting the phone and seeing how it does tonight.

so its been awhile since ive posted here huh? i found out that the issue i was experiencing was low light in the room (even though its been brighter lately than before?) which ive fixed by adding a night light in the corner, but now ive run into a new problem...

after having the phone off all day to charge, i turned it on just now to find the battery at 30% looking at the phone usage the camera app has logged 21 hours but it was off all day and no new pictures or video in the gallery.

the phone was not warm either, so does anyone have any clue as to what's happening with it? and is there anyway to check where the phone is sending signals to over wifi?
