Video not available on mobile devices

it annoys me that one of my devices is identified as 'mobile' when it has no battery, no built in screen its as immobile as anything could ever be yet sites want me to view restricted cutdown websites and youtube (page or app) restricts certain content because "Video not available on mobile devices"

yet my device is no more mobile than my desktop, searching around I found several guides telling me change my browser identity, these seem like temporary fixes and still do nothing for youtube videos that launch with the official app out of a web browser.

I was just wondering if there are any other ways around this problem and have my immobile device treated as a regular desktop?

thanks

Main problem is I think, the full desktop browser version of YouTube and probably other video sites as well, is that they're expecting a desktop browser to have Flash. And Adobe only makes Flash available for Windows, Mac OS X and desktop GNU/Linux OSs like Ubuntu. Adobe have discontinued Flash for mobile.

If you can get Flash on your "immobile" device, you'll probably be in business, which is possible to do for Android. However it's an older version and may not work for desktop sites that require the latest version of Flash, Which is now 12.
