Video output through projector

Hi guys,

Does anyone have an idea if the Samsung Galaxy S2 phone can use a projector as a separate output device for custom output. By 'custom' output I mean being able to control what is projected instead of copying whatever is on the display. I am starting a project and am trying to decide between iPhone and Android and I know iPhone can do that.

In the spec it says that a device needs a TV/Video-out capability in order to connect to the projector and I know the Samsung has TV out so I guess it should be able to connect, right? I just need to project some output from my app. Any ideas?

The projector has that old composite tv input and your phone has that up-to-date HDMI output (over a MHL adapter)
So you'll need a HDMI to composite tv converter.

By the way: What the projector shows is depending of the programm on PC or the app on the phone, the viewer.

I use HDMI converter and it works well!
