Video Player App for external display without showing controls?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find out if there is a video player app that can display videos on an external display / projector (through HDMI) while leaving all the controls etc. on the android device? (I need it for presentation purposes)

I've heard the ipad mini's "video player app" is supposed to do that without "mirroring" the whole screen.
But I'm in for a new tablet and would love to go back to Android!!

MX player, VLC, both can do that

Thanks for your reply. The only trouble I have is that it still outputs all the menus as well? I will need it for presentations and wouldn't want the audience to see all the menus. (looks a bit unprofessional)
