Video problem

My first post so please be patient with me.
I have a Samsung galaxy 10.1 and love it, but when I try to view some web video clips, like news items, all I get is the "lego" cube. A friend suggested I needed "Adobe Flash", but I would welcome some advice from more experienced users.
