Video recording app that allows mic level/gain adjustment

Hi all, I have a Samsung S7 and which at a techno gig with mates on the weekend, couple of us took some videos and my mate with his iPhone, the audio quality was pretty damn good...while mine was just maxed out BZZZZT BZZZZT BZZZZT BZZZZZT distorted

He just used the in built camera app, but iPhone obviously auto adjust the mic input according to the volume being received...seems Samsung, for all their dominance over Apple in my mind, do not...the audio just sounds like mud by comparison

So is there A) a way to have the mic gain/level adjust with the in built camera or B) a separate third party video recording app which allows this?

Biggest flaw I've ever found when comparing my phone to an iPhone...I love taking videos of gigs I'm at, but unless you're well back from the speakers, it's pretty much pointless.

Thanks!

I feel your pain, I went to a Stone Roses gig a couple of years back and all my device picked up was distortion and me singing (no one wants to hear that).

The only camera app I've ever seen do this is the stock camera app on the LG V10 and that only works on LG devices.

You might have some luck with many of the equalizer apps available on Play, they could have a function for changing the gain of the mic?
