Help Video Recordings

I notice quite rightly if I do nothing with my 7 inch Android tablet then after a few minutes the screen goes blank and it moves into sleep mode. But if I am making say a long video recording of 30 minutes or more can I rely on it to continue recording even in sleep mode?

As far as I know it won't go into sleep mode at all if you're actually recording, or even have the camera open for that matter.

Thanks but as far as I can see the camera is always open at the top of the Tablet. How could I close it anyway except it can be activated or deactivated while using Skype.

I was telling my friend there was a rumour going around years ago never to leave your camera on all the time such as your PC etc. as it could be hacked allowing prospective crooks to see around if there is anything worth stealing.
