Video size problem

JaffaCaik

Whenever I record a video on my android the file size is MASSIVE! I recorded this great video twice for 2 minutes and the file size was about 50mb! Can anybody help?

That's normal...

I have a 4 minute video and it's 175mb.

These files are actually small in the video world...consider this.

1hour 20min video at DVD quality is 4gig (9000 variable bps)

A 3 minute video file at Pro Ress 422 quality is 2gig (55,000 bps)

Video shot on Smartphones are generally very compressed video files.... what you are reporting is normal.

The best solution for you is to get a larger sd card. You can get a 16gb micro sd on Amazon.com for 15 bucks. Whatever you do, don't get sd cards from Ebay. They are cheap, but knock-offs and worthless.

The file size will reduce if you decrease the video resolution. But the quality will also reduce. Go to video camera settings to change resolution.
