Android Enthusiast
I've been using Motorola android phones for several years and really enjoy pulling my phone out of my pocket or simply waving my hand over the screen to see my notifications and the time without pressing buttons. I was really leery about giving up my Turbo 2, but the lure of removing bloatware without rooting was too intriguing. So, is there a way to do this? I really hate having to press that stupid button just to see what my led light is trying to tell me.

I just saw the other post about the power button suggesting Gravity Screen... I'll check that out, but open to other ideas as well.

Doesn't the built-in raise-to-wake satisfy your need? You can double-tap the screen, or simply tilt the phone to wake it.

found it, for some reason first time I looked in there I only saw the top two. I thought it was strange that there wasn't more gestures :p

Awesome. Not as convenient as simply waving your hand on the Moto or Samsung S7, but these gestures will do.

The double tap is one of my favourite features. I came from a Sony Z3 to the Pixel and was mortified the double tap didn't exist. You can imagine how happy I was when it was added in on a software update!
