VIP Alert - Don't miss that important call

VIP Alert is an application for Android OS (2.0 or higher) that allows you to enter a list of "VIP" numbers (manually or via contacts) that are allowed to ring through even when your ringer is off. Silence your phone at bedtime, but still get calls from your kids. Silence it in a meeting, but still get calls from spouse, kids, or boss.

Features:

• Add VIP numbers from your Contacts or by entering the number manually
• Enter the number in any format (including international)
• Configurable to alert when Private or Unknown numbers call (police in some areas use this)
• Configurable to use your alarm tone or your default ringtone
• You can enable or disable individual (or all) VIP numbers temporarily (if you're at the movies, etc.)
• Configurable to add the extra alert even when the ringer is on

Click on VIP to toggle on/off. Long press to delete.
Suggestions, comments, and feature requests are encouraged.

It's fine for me searching for "Vip alert". What version of the OS are you running?

I guess if you're rooted it won't show up, since it's not free.

Nope; actually hav been tryin to root the last couple days but the drivers won't happen for me on W7...

Hmm...Anyone else not see it? I have it set to minimum API level "5", which should work for 2.1, no?

Not to hijack the thread, but I was just considering root and was gathering the apps to get started on that. This message stopped me dead in my tracks. Once rooted, no paid apps?
