Virgin android process??

Hi Guys:

Bear with me as I am not very computer smart. Have a virgin optimus android. It stopped working, saying The process android .process. acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

I did take battery out wait 10 minutes and put back in, nothing.

I haven't downloaded anything, only thing I did was buy a sd card and put it in a few months ago, because someone recommended it. This phone doesn't come with a sd card. Don't know if that matters.

If anybody can help, can you please explain like you would to a 10 yr old, although they are probably more knowledgeable then I.

Try a reset thats always worked for me

What version of optimus is your device?

You will get better help if you post in your device specific forum, for example, optimus v or optimus s : each one is different.

Do not do a factory reset from the privacy menu if your phone has root, or if you don't know if it is rooted, = BRICK!

Try deleting JUST the cache/data for your Google Contacts application- I've gotten this error before, too
