Root [Virgin Mobile] Anyone else been getting voicemail notifications from sprint??

I'm running cm11 the version I have listed on the side
Also running the older moped fix number 2

Been running it for awhile now as you can see by the build date

Just recently tho I've been getting voicemail notifications, and its not the normal ones

Since I use cm and I don't have visual voicemail app installed I do get texts whenever I have a voicemail but there from VM

Recently tho I have 0 voice mails and I'm now getting texts from sprint saying I have unheard voice mails and to check them I need to call some crazy number lol

Says smithmicro.com has sent you a sprint voice mail need to call a 408-908 number to check it lol


Just wondering if I'm the only one, also wondering where this is coming from, the ROM itself or the APN fix, or just random
 
I always got those text from sprint telling me to call that number this is one of the main reason I wind up going back to stock rom it even comes through hangouts drives me nuts
 
Install the VM Voicemail app, then suppress the Sprint Notifications through Hangouts. (If you go into the notification text in Hangouts, you can choose to turn the notifications off from that number) Boom, voicemail notifications fixed.
 
It happened to me this morning. In the past, they would show up when I actually had a voicemail. This morning, I got the text, but had no voicemail.
 
It is the ROM. The ROM is set up for Sprint service, and as such receives garbled messages when receiving voicemail notifications. Best to just suppress them and install the VM Voicemail app.
