I have a virgin mobile galaxy s3, how ever my USB port on my phone broke. Is it possible to root my phone and install custom Roms only using mobile odin

There have been a lot of bricks reported from using mobile Odin on the s3. So its not recommended

You can root without a PC using the app towelroot. Then you can install custom recovery (philz touch) with the app flashify.
Here is Towelroot
Just install it and click "make it rain". Afterwards, get SuperSU from the play store and run it. Let it install binaries, choose " normal method" not twrp.

Now just think how easy malware can use that exploit to access everything. I believe newer samsung devices have already been patched.

True anything with a microchip can be hacked even heard about cheap chargers from China that installs virus every time u charge your phone
