running aokp 4.3 on the mg2 modem and philz recovery

i flashed the apn fix to get my LTE and MMS working.

MMS works like a champ, and i'm even using a previous aokp mms.apk to do it


LTE works, but the signal bars fluctuate a lot and it looks like the phone is cycling thru the dhcp process or something to get locked into LTE. while it does this i get anywhere from 3-10 force closes from "com.android.phone"


i have run a permissions fix via rom manager

cleared my cache and dalvik

re-flashed the apn fix before and after doing all that

i visually compared the apn settings from the apn fix page with the ones in my apns_conf.xml file


what else should i be looking at??

If the ROM ur running for example is like a Cm ROM then normally allowing the ROM to settle is needed

For me personally I had many issues flashing cm11 4.4 till I messaged struckn and he informed me of allowing to settle

Way I did it was like this
Full wiped using philz installing new ROM
Install just ROM and boot phone, let sit at least 10min don't set anything up no WiFi Google account nothing
Go back and flash just gapps same thing settle for 10 min setting nothing up
Then go back and flash APN fix if needed, many Roms here already have it packaged since its needed
Again once boots let settle for about 10 before doing WiFi Google and all that

You'll notice 1-2 bars less then on stock but nonstock Roms only have 4 bars as opposed to stocks 5 and according to other the Roms measure the signal more accurately

Besides that my signal seems perfect, I live in a weird area so when my LTE kicks in the signal freaks the hell out like 1bar, 3, 1, full, 1, 2, full, 3g lol but again I believe its due to where I live



Also just if anyone else want to jump in exactly what ROM are you running??

thanks man i'll try just leaving it alone for a bit.

i just reverted back to my stock 4.1.2 jb rom.. i have been trying to get the team codefire AOKP setup the way i like it tho. i pretty much have everything except the camera and this LTE issue.


i have an older app called "apn backup and restore" about to save the stock apns and then restore them under the new aokp
