Root [Virgin Mobile] Day 4

So I thought rooting was a simple process at first......lesson learned. SPH L710 MG2 build on virgin mobile. I am having issues with 4g I forget what I've flashed But I am pretty sure it is the CWM stock that can be found here.....learning on the fly as I have always done.......Running Kali Linux, Windows 7 and Crunchbang.

U have to be clear about what u have done... Cwm is not stock .... Its a recovery partition flash that certainly isn't stock recovery... U still have to flash a rom.... If u have a custom recovery installed your best bet to slowly ease into it and to next flash a rooted stock ROM... Samsung is a bit easier to root then HTC.. If you have gotten a custom recovery you have basically done all the hard work already... There aren't many custom ROM options for virgin yet... There are ways to get the good stuff up and running but u might have to sacrifice lte or MMS and do a bit of tweaking to get SMS and 3g. As I said... I suggest you flash a rooted stock ROM. That's all root is, a rom with superuser privileges... To flash aokp, cm, PA, PACman, etc will require some steps u aren't ready for...

I figured it out but thanks for the info I was getting frustrated and finally posted but shouldve just hunkered down the extra couple hours.

Lol... That's usually how it's done... Sometimes I get an idea I want to do... Get to work on it... And look up at the clock in what seems like an hour the most and 5 hours have passed..
