Root [Virgin Mobile] Is it me or my phone?

Daves70

Lurker
I rooted my S3 and flashed CWM. When I try to install these it wont let me and says device blocked. It then reboots in 10 seconds. I also put titanium backup on it and it wont apply either. I hold vol. up-menu and power until it goes into recovery. Did I do something wrong? Do I need to try to flash it back to stock and try again? Anyone else have this problem? I have no control when it comes up in recovery mode. Is it the new phone? HELP:confused:

Did you recently upload to android 4.3?

Try using Odin to push the latest TWRP 2.6.3 to your device. After you get the "Pass" message, pull your battery out, wait a few seconds, replace it and then manually boot into recovery with volume up, home key, and power button all at the same time. I personally feel TWRP is a much better recovery than CWM. Also to reiterate what was mentioned earlier in this thread, you are positive that you are not running the 4.3 update with Knox included? Double check in Settings that you are on 4.1.2 with the MG2 baseband. If all is well on that end then installing TWRP should work fine. Flashing the Superuser zip after should be fine as well, and then hopefully on to the custom ROM of your choice!
