Root [Virgin Mobile] is LTE and custom rom possible?

Orthok

Lurker
I installed stable cyanogen mod with full functionality but no 4g. What are my options to have a custom rom and LTE?

At the moment we just have punkmaxx's slim rom and Midnight ROM, but those are pretty much almost stock...

Didn't someone get 4g working on a CM ROM? I thought I read about it in one of the CM threads in this forum. I'm fine with rooted stock right now though so I didn't look into it much.

I am currently running Pacman Rom witch is CM/AOKP/PA based and have working 4G. I'm Pretty sure all your 4g issues are APN based. The link ENVi3 posted has a fix. I could upload a .xml for APN backup and restore if anyone wants it.

The CM port that is on this board does not have an option for APN settings built into the ROM. I copied the /system/etc/apns-conf.xml file from the stock ROM and replaced the CM file, but it made no difference. The problem must be in that modem firmware that's part of the tutorial on running the CM port from this board.

Where did you find that Pacman Rom? Is it a ported Sprint ROM or specifically designed for the Virgin Mobile version?

How did you get 4g to work?
Could you please upload that .xml? I could try it and see if i get any results.

I am very eager to get LTE working. I've been messing around on different roms for quite a while now but I have had no success. I'm currently running xthedakmanx's MidnightRom. I'm just so sick of touchwiz

Where are you changing the APNs from? ##data#?

I changing my apns from the settings menu under More/mobile networks/access point names. Should I change it through ##data# Haha I just want to find a way to get MMS and LTE to work. 3g is so slow compared to LTE actually I dont think you can change apns through ##data# on cm10.2
