Virgin mobile no longer sells triumph

They should've stopped selling it the day it came out lol. But for real though, the triumph was the first real android smart phone VM had; it was learning experience for many VM/triumph users since we HAD to root. They(Motorola) could've done better, but I guess VM was just "testing the waters" by giving a mid-high range device that was crappy. They probably even got a deal on it because it was so crappy, making it a even a better for testing the waters. Sprint might have forced Motorola to make cheap decent phone to go along with the Motorola Photon, so Motorola decided to use rebranded phone instead of making a new device since it's cheaper.

Yeah they rebranded a phone instead of making a new phone.

Theres some famous saying about Not re-inventing the wheel is the smart way to do business.

But if the wheel you model from has a flat.............

I was one sstep behind with the ever so hot n popular Loft, a java phone that still needed a monthly plan. Got nearly hackable by the end to get around VM lock down on apps n music.

I remember that phone. It was nice. Except it made my fingers bleed.

Oh god reminds me of the rumor cool phone at first but wow it sucked rebooted a lot after closing the keyboard and touchscreen was way off too.

I still have a Loft floating around my house - well, the S2300 variant of it. My teenage daughter is tempted to switch back to it from her Elite because she found the keyboard easier for texting.

Actually, now that I think of it... I practically have a Virgin Mobile phone museum in my possession :o The Triumph is one I managed to bypass, though!

Oh yea, I could text and drive with the Loft without looking, the keyboard was great for that.

can't even text "OK" on my OV without about running off the road, touch screens need touch feedback to know your fingers are in the right spots,

like right now im typing with out looking, but only works cause the PC keyboard tells my fingers where they are by touch feedback.

Remind me never to take road trip to your area...

I had a Triumph... for all of a week. That phone was so buggy and frustrating to use. I don't remember why I took it back to Best Buy, but I got another one I couldn't even activate. I got so frustrated that I returned it and used the money to activate an EVO 4G on the Sprint network. I already had a contract with Sprint, so I figured, why not activate a new phone? Good riddance to bad rubbish.
