Root [Virgin Mobile] On Virgin Going to Straight Talk

I am currently on Virgin running the LS ROM on my S3. I am thinking about switching to Straight Talk. I checked and it looks like I can bring my phone over.

The question is do I have to flash back to stock? I am most concerned about the APNs. When I looked over the documentation it looked like Straight Talk would, "push" the APNs down, or something like it.

Thanks!

From my understanding Sprint phones are easy to activate on certain carriers like straight talk. Boost/Virgin the other hand are not because they are so locked down and actually have a modified ESN. It used to that virgin/boost phones would need to be flashed in order to work on Straight Talk. Not sure of something has changed. Did you check the ESN to see if it is ok to bring over?

I did put my ESN in there and it reported that I was good to bring it over. I am just not sure how the APN settings work. I am used to having to flash a the Virgin APN settings every time now.

Be careful if you switch to Straight Talk. They have so many rules. Watching any streaming video is a TOS violation. If you watch 1 YouTube video they could cancel your account. Then you lose your phone number. I wouldn't let my worst enemy use their service.

Holy shit! That's crazy. I am gonna go ahead and make sure I read the fine print very carefully before I make any moves.
