Root [Virgin Mobile] Phone suddenly deactivated?

I am rooted, running stock after trying out several other ROMs. Suddenly, my phone lost activation after making a new backup and deleting old backups. How did this happen and should I just proceed to let VM re-activate it?
 
Ive flashed a number of ROMs and sometimes notice "Activating phone" come up on first boot.

I figure its under the same circumstances if you did a stock factory rest (thru the settings menu). If you did that (with no root or any mods ever) it would still need to reactivate.
 
Thanks for the help. I just flashed CM 10.1 again and now dialing ##VIRGIN# does nothing in the dialer. Is there any other way to activate this thing?
