Root [Virgin Mobile] pop up notifications?

Im running LiquidSmooth and I keep getting these annoying popup notifications, Im sure they have a name like push or toast but I cant figure out what they are called or how to turn them off? They seem to pop up with just about every push notification I recieve and are about 2x the size of the status bar here is a pic if it helps

The notifications you're talking about are called Hover notifications. With Android 4.4.3/4.4.4, 2 new types of notifications were made: Hover and Heads Up. Hover shows up like what you're showing, and Heads Up shows just below the status bar. If you pull down the notification drawer, there should be 2 buttons on the top right: one to switch to quick settings and another to turn on/off Hover notifications.

I had them enabled in settings and the button in the drawer was off, but it was easy to find in setting when I knew what I was looking for! I knew it was something simple lol but thanks lot for your help! appreciate it!
