Root [Virgin Mobile] Question Regarding Custom Recovery

If I flash the custom recovery via ODIN, as part of the root process, obviously that will trigger the flash counter.

Will that also render the device status as "modified"? (The reason I ask is that the OS will still be stock, as I do not intend to flash any custom ROMs. I only intend to flash CWM to root my phone.)

If the device does indeed read as modified, I know that OTA updates will be inapplicable, but will I still be able to firmware update via Kies (in the event that 4.3 does in fact come out in October)?

Also, if I flash back the stock recovery via ODIN after applying the TeamEpic recovery root exploit, would I still maintain root access?

Thanks in advance for your insight.

all you have to do is reset to stock recovery or stay stock rooted two weeks or so afteer the update goes ota use samsung kies to upgrade to stock unrooted. then reroot
