Root [Virgin Mobile] Questions about CM for Galaxy SIII

Is there an official build for the sph-l710 with virgin mobile?
How do i install it? Are there any bugs? When i go to the cyanogenmod website, it tells me to install d2spr instead l710. Is d2spr compatible with the virgin mobile phone?

Yes. There are official nighties for the Virgin Mobile S3. They are called unified builds now, where all the major US carriers S3s fall into one build. The build you're looking for is D2LTE.

Here's the link to the download page:

https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=d2lte

Make sure you have a GAPPs zip package to flash, as well.

Here is the link for the PA GAPPs package:

Stay Paranoid

Android File Host has the latest GAPPs package for 4.4.x ROMs

The one for our ROM is d2lte now also you will need to flash mopedryder APN fix for MMS to work and you have to use a 3rd party messaging app like hangouts or chomp SMS and pa gapps 4.4 all the info you need is located here in the forums all the kit Kat Roms are now d2lte aim towards our roms

Okay, so steps go like this...

(I'm assuming) Wipe data/cache and dalvik,

Flash CM [Higgs provided link]

Flash GAPPS zip package [Higgs again]

Flash APN [Sean provided]

And that's it?

The way I do it is 1st rom 2nd is apn fix 3rd is pa gapps flash all be for you boot up the phone then let it sit for about 10 mins after you boot up this is my preference works for me but I use twrp recovery.

Yes there are, your system is treated as sprint instead of VM, also I was unable to do wifi tether so I went back to my VMmk5 4.3

Nevermind, while trying to fix the camera issues i was having (Would say cannot connect to camera) and SD wouldn't mount, i somehow hard bricked the damn thing.

I bought it yesterday... Sigh

Always gotta ask questions in advance, CM unless its just the build u tried, doesn't have a camera issue, if you search here you'll find a few users have camera issues with specific Roms (not just cm but sometikes one wont work, then sometimes itll be different) but that's usually it

Also another thing to know, if you have a 32gb or up SDcard by default its formatted in exfat, that won't work correctly and will just end up giving you headaches, fat32 is most likely the way to go
