Root [Virgin Mobile] recovery issues

i tried this process

i was able to get to the CMW recovery,but anytime i try to backup or install a zip from SD i get

E:can't mount/cache
"/emmc
and a list of other things it cant open or mount.... any help?

I use the latest TWRP (2.6.3) with no problems. Just use Odin to push the file onto your phone.

Mobile Odin also works great if your not around a pc.

tried that recovery also,it pushes fine in odin,but for some reason my phone keeps loading the stock recovery.. i don't understand this.

when i go into download mode,in the top left corner last line it says something like "qualcom secure boot" greyed out... should it be like that?

I haven't used mobile Odin but on the desktop version make sure the reboot option is unchecked (it is usually checked by default). If it is checked the phone reboots back into the stock recovery. Once you see the message "Pass" you can disconnect the USB cable, pull battery, replace, then boot into recovery with volume up, home, and power at the same time.

It Didn't work, I always end up in the stock Android recovery when I boot the device in recovery mode but it says PASS?

got it to work,changed usb and bam!
