Just received a notice to update my SG III. No other info other than it states to make sure you have a full charge on the battery ????

Nothing like a blind update. Who knows where it came from. At least they could of identified it with the VM logo.

yeah i also got the update around 11 this morning. i think it has to do with the wifi activating itself and the battery drainage .

Well I finally got an email back from VM. It wasn't to informative, but at least they confirmed that they are doing it.
Virgin Mobile is doing the best to keep up- to date our devices with the latest software and technology available. However, the software update for the Samsung Galaxy SIII will initially on 8/7/2013 to 30% of the subscriber base. The remainder will receive the update between 8/12/2013 and 8/14/2013.
