Root [Virgin Mobile] Upgrading Radios

So I haven't seen the definitive advantages/differences between MD7 & MK5.
I have a MD7 device with the newest Philz and run CM11 nightlies.
Would I see any benefit in MK5? Could I roll back if I want?

Additionally, I very much understand this is just a radio switch and NO KNOX is involved (FYI for others).
