Root [Virgin Mobile] Voicemail APK

Does anyone have the Virgin Mobile Voicemail APK? The last one I had was t.5.3.4.30.

I wanted to copy voicemail from a previous backup over to my current voicemail app. So I restored the "data only" with TiBU, and my voicemail app disappeared. I've been trying to restore just the app from TiBU but for some reason it doesn't work; it says restoring, but it just hangs forever. I have no idea why I can't restore my vm app. Does anyone have the apk that I can try installing? I looked online for it and didn't find one that worked.

EDIT: I used TiBU to extract from a nandroid backup, and then restored voicemail. It says completed, but the app still does not show up. ??

Thank you! Hopefully this'll work.

EDIT: It says application not installed. I have no idea why I can't reinstall this app.

If it counts as a system app you may need to use a file explorer to make system read/write instead of read only before install, also u can enable the allow unknown app or whatever setting

I've not tried putting it back on so these are just guesses I'm tossing out

I was thinking it might have something to do with being a system app. How do I change it to read/write again?

Ya, just set System to R\W, install with a rooted File Explorer, then suppress the dumb Sprint voicemail texts. Start the voicemail app and you should be good to go. I am glad someone finally made a thread about this, I was about to pull my hair out with the garbled Sprint VM texts.

Yes, my phone is rooted, and ES File Explorer has SU privileges. I downloaded kwknott's apk and I was trying to install it from the downloads folder. Also just from the SD card. I also have a file- "com.coremobility.app.vnotesxxxx"- this is the voicemail app? I tried installing this too. That particular file was in a few places, and I've been moving it around, so I'm not sure where it should even be anymore. I had a backup of my vm in TiBU, but it doesn't show up there anymore. And it doesn't show up in TiBU under "extract from a nandroid backup" anymore, so maybe I moved all of the files around. I did screenshot their locations though...there was one com.coremobility....in storage/extSdCard/TitaniumBackup, storage/sdcard0/download, mnt/sdcard. But no matter what I have done, I can't get this voicemail app to install and it's making me crazy.

I have it working on CM11 right now and uploaded the link for mine.

Alright. I am trying out Liquid Smooth ROM and the VMM.APK seems to not be connecting to my Voice Mail service. I have ES File Explorer with SU permission and the System folder is set to R\W. The App installs, seemingly without error (no error message or FC appears), but when I receive a Voice Mail, nothing shows up in the app. No notifications, no voice mails are present in the app (though I can call the VM number and confirm I have several new messages). Anyone have any ideas?

Not really sure so its a guess, if you open the app and try to connect as you would have normally and go thru setup does it let you do any of that or does it seem it has no connection at all

Again I'm personally not really sure just probing ya for more info so other may jump on lol

Part of the problem is that there is no "connecting" notifications, whether the app is working correctly or not. You install, execute the app and see your voice mail. There are no indicators of connection or error messages if the app fails to retrieve voice mails. That is part of the problem, without error messages or some sort of FC error, I have no idea what is going on behind the scenes.

Well, I was able to install with no problems using ES Explorer. Voicemails com in great now!
Now, how in the world do I stop those annoying sprint text messages from coming in ?!?!?!

If you go into your text message app, there should be a setting to stop notifications. You will still technically receive the texts, but they will not trigger a notification in your status bar.

I installed this on LiquidSmooth LS-KK-v3.0-2014-03-13. I allowed it to download to the default download folder. I didn't even open the folder I just clicked the completed downloaded file from the notification bar to install it. I approved install and it installed successfully without error. I checked TB and found that it installed as a user app, not system app. I used TB to convert it a system app. I don't really know if it makes a difference using it as a user app compared to a system app. It seems to work either way for me.

Of course I'm rooted.
