I'm running CM 11 its been awhile since I've been on here and I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to get rid of the new voicemail message yet.

I've tried blacklisting the number a few times and will try again but they seem to just send me another one from a different number or something. I was talking about the status bar however. The text message doesn't bother me so much I only seem to get it after I check my voicemail.
The little icon at the top of the screen always saying I have two new messages is really bothersome though. I've had 9 new messages a few of which were pretty important and it still showed i had 2 new messages and I just assumed that it was a mistake like it usually was. Since my phone ALWAYS says i have 2 new voicemails.

Yeah man, I have the same problem. A few of us on here have the same one, but not a lot. If you scroll through the forum there is another thread about it, but there was no solution. I tried getting on the phone with virgin mobile 4 or 5 separate times and they can't figure it out either. It is a problem with their network though, not your phone. They had a phone that their tech was using and activated it with my phone # and stuff and they got the same notification on their phone.
The only thing you can really do on most of these roms is disable the notification in the status bar. It will still show up on the pull down notifications and on the lockscreen if you have it set up for that. A few roms you can actually disable the notification from the phone.apk but most of them it is checked and greyed out so you can't turn them off. I think it was vanir you can disable it. I just updated to LS 4.4.3 from vanir 4.4.2 and I'm pretty sure that was the one that you could disable it. It was either that or pacrom.

Am I one of the only people that do not get these messages? I received one the first time I installed CM11 on this phone, now I get nothing at all. I ended up installing Visual voicemail so I can actually get a notification.
The only thing I can think of is that I do not use the stock messaging app, I use Textra. CM stock messaging app still gave notifications every time I got a text, so I unchecked the notifications box for it in the app info. I have installed cm11 a few times, but I preform these sames steps every single time.
