Virtuous Rom - Initial Setup Wizard

Hello. I was chilling watching a movie and I notice some people not sure of what apps to include in the ROM and I started brain storming..

I think the rom it self should be pure Sense with mods that improve performance every thing else is optional. After all with this ROM we are passionate about the Sense look and usability. One thing I hate about Cyanogen's ROM is that they compleatly brand your phone. There logo and colors are nice but I want to make my phone unique. The good thing about Cyanogen's ROM is performance.

So why don't you guys just keep this ROM nice and clean get rid of all extras including Face book, Tweeter, etc and just work on the performance.

Also as the title says introduce a setup wizard that will started after the Google wizard that gives you options to install Face book, Power Manager... That way the ROM will be a small size download and won't be so bare bone.

You can do a lot with a setup wizard even ask what theme to use, whether they want to use defaults or customs.

Feel free to tell us whats new with the rom in the wizard, also even ask people for email so you can send them newsletters. You can also brand the wizard with your Virtuous logo and colors..

Also don't rely so much on Rom Manager.

If you look at rmk's comments about the ROM, you'll see that the purpose of Virtuous is simply to remove the Verizon Wireless bloatware, and provide you as close to stock ROM as possible, but allowing for the ability to: (1) use your own kernel if you like and (2) make modifications to the interface.

It sounds like you want what is referred to as a "re-engineered" ROM, one in which the ROM is essentially HTC's Sense interface for the Incredible, but with the ROM cleaned up a bit more. You also sound like you don't want it heavily themed. I suggest you look at Magnolia 1.2, which may well meet your needs. Skyraider Sense is also another option (although it does "brand" your Incredible).
