Help Virus? Screen unresponsive

After installing Norton my screen will only unlock if I'm quick on boot, but then freezes and buttons will flash a few times and then turn off. I downloaded app from a questionable site. Could this be a virus and is there a fix? Thanks for the root it was working great and then I started tinkering and installing apps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Well I finally got it after flashing a different root and it was the Norton that was screwing it up. Uninstalled and good to go again. I guess I'll syick with AVG unless someone here recommends another.
