VM Text: $35 plan now unlimited talk?

Anyone else just get this text from VM?

Talk all you want! Your plan now includes Unlimited DomesticTalk minutes at no extra cost!

Between the iPhone coming back, 2 local Walmarts putting up big VM displays (with all the phones no longer available on the website) and now this, it's good to see signs of life from VM!

They had given me this about a year ago as a "rewared" for being a long time customer. It's a great plan even though I'd very rarely go over the 300 minutes, once they gave me this I use my phone as a phone quite a bit more (even though there are plenty of other ways to make calls over wifi).

I got that text also. Like you I rarely go over 200 min a month so its no big deal for me. Now if they charged for the number of emails, I would be in deep trouble.

Now if only they would increase the data allotment. If we're on the $35 plan, we don't use that many minutes. That's why we chose that one. I don't know about anybody else, but I could always use more full speed data.

I agree with you in principle (about more data), but I work from home most days and use Wi-Fi mostly. I was shocked to discover that, according to my phone, I only used 390MB of carrier data last month. So I guess it doesn't affect me much.

I'm enjoying this upgrade in talk but I usually just use my Google Voice number with the "unlimited" data. Now if only I can get a lollipop update for my phone. The Kyocera Hydro Vibe is still the best Android phone they have (as of this moment) on their site. It's a sad state of affairs over at the Virgin Mobile site.

I didn't get the text now or a year ago. I've been with Virgin Mobile since 2010, right before the my $40 plan was grandfathered in (I was on the $25 plan but needed more minutes doh) I called for a different matter and to my surprise they offered me a free phone and the $35 unlimited everything plan (with throttling), since I was switching carriers (Google's Project Fi). All the good phones are out of stock :( Not sure if a cheap phone would keep my business, an account adjustment might since it seems I got screwed.
