Voice call over Bluetooth

Is there a way to establish a call between two phones using only bluetooth or other method using only the two devices which are in each other's range?

To be honest I don't know.. but based on the range of bluetooth... wouldn't you be better off just talking to each other?

I don't believe this is possible with Bluetooth.

Do you not have cell reception where you are? You can use a WiFi calling app to make VoIP calls using an internet connection when you don't have any cell service.

Thanks for the answers. Context is that I'll be in a country where I don't have internet and I'll be sitting in a grandstand at the grand prix - where its very loud, so some in-ear communications would be good. Thought the phone might be the most efficient option.
Thanks again.
