voice command problems

i just got a samsung gio and i like it, but cant figure out my google voice command thing. when i say "call" somebody,it goes right to googlw search not my contacts. when i say "text" or "send message" to somebody, the curser jumps right to the message and skips who i want to send it to. any ideas?

My wife I had a Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket a couple of weeks ago (AT&T) and they did the same. Nobody at AT&T could believe it, but they took them back. Now we have LG Nitro HDs and are thrilled. I am still looking for something that's more like MS Voice Command on Windows (since 2003), but need it on Android. I have a couple of suggestions to explore. That thread is here:

I am told that VLingo will voice dial. Some say it doesn't work with BT others say it does. I think it's free. But check the permissions.
