Greetings, all,
When I had my LG Optimus with Android 2.2.2, my Nuance Voice Control worked great! It didn't require internet (I don't pay extra for an internet plan), and it required only one touch to get started. Now, my Optimus has gone on the blink and I have a new phone. It's an older Huawei model with 2.3.6, and it did NOT come with Nuance or any other voice dialing program.
I've searched the App Store for a comparable app, but most of them require an internet connection, which I don't have and am not planning on getting (I use WiFi when or if I need to). I tried Voice Control and myVoice, both of which sucked.
Two questions:
1) Is there an app comparable to Nuance that currently exists and that will work with 2.3.6?
2) If not, does anyone have a site from which I can download Nuance Voice Control? Nuance's site itself doesn't have it. They have something called Dragon, which, of course, requires an internet connection.
Final observation ... I never understood why a lot of people didn't like NVC. But, to each his or her own, I guess.
Thanks for any help you can give me!
