Help Voice drop outs during a call

So here's the story...
Bought my wife a ZTE Grand 4, and has been having issues with her voice dropping in and out during calls, randomly. I took it to the Cricket dealer and they tried calling with it, no issues. But again, she has the same issues. I don't know wether it's hardware related or? It's on 6.01 and everything else works fine. I'm thinking att tower coverage?

Yes that sounds like a coverage issue but due to multiple storms in the U.S check crickets outage chart and see if your area is being affected by bad weather because that may be the culprit of drop calls issues.
