Is there a way to change the number of rings before pick up on Verizon voice mail with the maxx?

Call your voicemail. Listen to the prompts. (Different carriers use different voicemail software so, since I don't use Verizon, I can't tell you what number it is). One of the prompts is to change the setup. You should be able to change the number of rings in there. If not, call customer service and they'll change it for you.
