I have an app titled “Voice Note”. It’s one of my most-used apps. It’s no longer available in the Play Store. A single click produces the Google voice input screen. Whatever you say then gets converted to text and sent as an email to whoever you’ve previously specified. Optionally (and I ALWAYS do this) you can include the audio file. I use it exclusively to send reminders to myself via email. The one-touch, auto-end, and auto-close features make it great for cars and bars where concentration might otherwise be compromised.
The problem is that I’ve just swapped phones. (HTC One M9 that would no longer retain permissions for an HTC One M9 that’s been “new-in-box” for three years) After several hours of “system” and “security” updates, I finally reached Nougat, API level 24.
NOW the app fails with the error below. I’ve no clue which, if any, permissions are missing.
Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks.
